The reviews on the pokerpod are carried out over the course of a week with the overriding factor been value for money, and what you can get out of your deposit from a site. You will see that some sites, such as pokerstars, score lower than other much small sites. This is because some of the larger sites do not offer such competitive bonuses or rakeback percentages (if at all) as many of the smaller sites, even though they may offer more games or their graphics/gameplay may be better. Other factors taken into account are the type of players that you will find on a site, and the availability of good games. Below is an overview of the different sections that we look at when we review poker rooms.

is basically an overview of the site, summing up its overall strengths

|
There are now many
different networks supplying different poker software of various
quality. This section describes the the software the site being
reviewed uses, and we review the interface that the Poker Room have
applied to their "skin" (a term used to describe
what software a site is using, e.g Power Poker uses a Cake skin),
looking at playability, graphic crispness and design, and navigation.
This section is particularly important for those that like to
multi-table. |

In this section we review the amount of traffic that passes through the room at on and off peak times, and the availability of cash game tables and tournament numbers (i.e how many players you can expect to find in any given tournament). |
| Tournaments & Promotions |
| Here we look at the
tournaments available on the poker room, (ie Guarantee's,
shootouts, bounty tournaments)
and any promotions they offer such as satallites to live events or
their own online series of tournaments. |
| Rakeback, Bonus and Reload Offers |

This covers the percentages they offer to new players signing up, bonuses available, and frequency of "reload bonuses" |
