Lobby Table Website

   Summary

Pokerworld was originally a very small site with little traffic. However in April 2009, Pokerworld joined the Cake Poker network which gave them a huge boost in traffic and access to some of the networks excellent promotion facilities most notably the 'Gold Chip' promotion. The site itself has not moved far away from the original Cake skin, which in the context of many of the online sites today appears dated and "laggy", though the layout will be familiar to nearly anyone that has been playing online for more than a few years. Overall, Pokerworld offers nothing new, but what it does provide is a solid, reliable poker room.

   Software

The Cake network provides reliable tried and tested software adopted by many of the newer poker rooms.  Lobby and table navigation are easy to use and there are enough options to satisfy most players. One gripe we have of the Cake network is that they dont allow poker aids such as poker tracker, Hold em' manager etc, so if you are a multi-tabler and use these tools, this is probably not the site for you. Although the Pokerworld website is very impressive, they have not put the same effort into their poker room and have barely moved away from the default Cake skin, which as mentioned in the summary, now appears very dated.

   Traffic

The biggest advantage Pokerworld had moving to the Cake Poker Network was the increase in traffic. SNGs fill up reasonably quickly, and there is action on the cash tables from the lowest limits right up to the higher-mid range.  Although  not great, there is enough traffic to satisy most players and we would describe Pokerworld as a mid-to-low range site in terms of traffic flow.

   Tournaments & Promotions

There are good promotions from pokerworld and they give $5 million a month away in tournament prizes and guarantees.  There are also daily $10k and $25k daily guarantees and a weekly $100k.  There are also regular SNG promotions and competitions that run every few months, Bounty tournaments and Freeroll and practice events. There also satallites into live events like the Aussie millions from just $3. There is also their loyalty program called "Citizenship" which provides extra benefits for their loyal members such as access to the Pokerworld store and private tournaments.

Pokerworld  use the "gold card" scheme for rewarding its loyal players. This is an excellent way to get entry into tournaments and prizes. The gold card scheme offers over $150,000 in monthly cash and prizes. They also have an excellent refer-a-friend program.

   Rakeback, Bonus and Reload Offers

Pokerworld offer new members a very reasonable 110% up to $600.

When you make your first real money deposit, an additional 110% of the total amount of your deposit will be added to your account as Pending Bonus. You can view your Pending Bonus details listed in the Cashier section of the PokerWorld software.

Pending Bonus funds are earned out in $10 increments based on Frequent Player Points (FPPs) accumulated through real money ring game or tournament play. Under Pending Bonus in the Cashier section is listed the FPP amount. Those are the FPPs needed to earn out your next $10.

When you are dealt cards at any real money ring game, you'll earn 1 FPP for every dollar raked. In tournament play, you'll earn 7 FPPs per dollar in tournament fees paid. The FPP system is accurate to the cent. For example, if your table was raked $1.22, you'll earn precisely 1.22 FPPs.

Ring Games: $1 Rake = 1 FPP
Tournaments: $1 Fee = 7 FPP

Note: The pending bonus funds have to be earned out within 90 days from the date on which the bonus was claimed. If you have an opportunity to receive another bonus (for example, ReLoad Bonus), you will need to first earn out the current bonus, before you can start earning the new bonus. Two or more deposit bonus offers can be used in conjunction, however note that some offers may have a maximum combined amount that you are eligible to receive.
